audience analysis evaluation
we had to go out into the town and around college to find results for a questionaire we made. the questions were based on out artist and our genre and also on what type of person they were. we interviewed 16-27 year olds. we were told we should have added more people, and also look at a vast range.
we didnt want to ask slightly older people as we knew the results would not be veered towards us as the genre is quite current. we had too many people from different walks of life so there was not a specific overall result.
when we came back to put the results we recorded on the camera there was an issue with the footage as the sound would not work properly. reece was the cameraman and i asked the questions. t was difficult to aks random people questions as it was quite awkward.
overall the result didnt really help towards our final verdict it was the focus group which helped the most. most of the time the people dont know who the artist is but when they hear the song they recognise it.
i think that the focus group was more helpful than going out and talking to people as they were more the people who the music would be aimed at. there was more cintent to the focus group as it gave the chance for an open discussion rather than eing limited with the questions. we should have changed some of the questions we asked so they werent so restricted in the answers that we could get.
overall the results from both contributed to our research but the ideas we had werein place so they were just extra opinions on the genre for us to take into account.
