the video i analysed was mountain at my gates by foals.I listen to this song a lot. the way the video is filmed is clever. there are lots of go pros circle around the band and there is a spherical view on youtube allowing the userto have a 360 degree view.

 

AS A NEW VERSE OR BRIDGE COMES INTO THE SONG A DIFFERENCE IN THE ENVIRONMENT IS ADDED. FOR EXAMPLE CROWS FLY ON ONE OF THE CHORUSES AND ON THE FINAL FEW BARS THERE IS MORE THAN THERE WAS BEFORE. THE MAIN SINGER ALSO DUPLICATES AND THERE ARE VERSIONS OF HIM DOING DIFFERENT ACTIONS AROUND THE 360 DEGREE VIEW. THE VIDEO INCLUDES ONLY A FEW SHOT TYPES AND THERE ISNT ANY CLOSE UPS, AS THE CAMERA CAN BE MOVED TO ANY POINT. THE MAIN INTERACTION FOCUSES ON THE MAIN SINGER BUT THERE IS ALSO DIFFERENT MOVEMENTS WITH THE OTHER BAND MEMBERS.

 

the video also inlcudes a normal suburb and mouuntains and there is a contrast between the two as one is busy and the other is related with peace and quiet. there are also crows which can also be related with darkness. the video is filmed in black and white so there is a clear message about the tone of the music which is being played.

 

the music itself is different to previous releases of their songs as the lyrics have meaning and the song is different to some of their other work such as 'my number' which is lively and energetic.
