comparisons 'super' and 'the dark knight'
super:
super is aimed at an alternative audience , it is an action comedy. it follows a man whos wife leaves him for a drug dealer as she is an addict, to find her he uses help froma sociopath comic book store worker and together they are the crimson bolt and boltie.
the film is aimed at a specific audience. there are adult themes and it is not a mainstream film ,so the group it would appeal to is small. the trailer gives away most of the plot and it follows points of the film from beginning to near the end. the ending consists of boltie being killed and the crimson bolt finding his wife and killing the drug dealer. this is very different from other film endings as normally one of the main characters doesnt die. and if they do it is usually the bad guy and not the protaginist.
THE DARK KNIGHT
the dark knight is part of the dark knight trilogy. it follows batman and the rest of gotham being terrorised by the joker. the film is aimed at mainstream audience and is big budget and of better quality . the audience this appeals to is a lot bigger than super. considering batman is in dc comics there is also a bigger fan base than super.
